Winter 2021 - Mural

The alleyway behind the Clarke looked a little less colorful before the “Sun Set Twice on the People that Day” mural was installed. Photo is courtesy of Rocky Arroyo.

Originally painted in 2000 by Brian and Jasper Tripp, the mural’s journey included the Eureka Theatre to the Potawot Barn at United Indian Health Services in Arcata and eventually to the alleyway at the Clarke. The photo shows the mural at the Potawot Barn before the mural was installed in the alleyway and its renewal at the hands of Brian and Jasper Tripp with a team to help.
