It is hard to pass up the chance to showcase the determination of well-motivated students. The front cover is a testimonial to that concept. The cover photo was featured in an article in the magazine Transmission Topics dated Spring 1972: Corsair poses for victory picture on the Bonneville Salt Flats after breaking speed record for a diesel-powered racer. Beside it are some of the students who broke the record. It is The Little Engine That Could, Cinderella, Rocky, Dead Poets Society all with the independence of Humboldt County thrown in.
