Flying the '64 Flood has photos from Donal McCall and Floyd Bettiga and watercolor illustrations by Gary Bloomfield.

The flood of 1964 is a topic that still draws a crowd. Anyone who lived in the area, or had family here, will use the flood as a dividing marker for those things that happened before and after the flood.

Ms Chaffey flew people and supplies between Eureka and Crescent City as well as other places. The book is based on her memories, an oral history interview with Kay done by the North Coast Vintage Aircraft Society, and an article written by Monica Hadley for the Arcata Union
