A Castle in Fairyland and other stories of the Carson Family and Their Mansions
By Evelyn Shuster Worthen

Castle in Fairyland    The author’s father, William C. Shuster, an all-around handyman and cleaner, worked closely with the Carson family – particularly Charles Sumner Carson, timber magnate William Carson’s middle son. The easy-to-read volume covers everything from Sumner’s childhood to the now-famous Ingomar Club (originally the Carson’s elegant and ornate waterfront home) to the construction and later demolition of Sumner and his wife Amelia’s impressive home as well as numerous tales reflecting the Eureka of days gone by.
